Local History Trip

 Last week the Year 4 children attended a Local History trip. 

They visited Avebury, The West Kennet Long Barrow, Barbury Castle and Silbury Hill. They discussed how the land has changed and why people may have orginally settled here. 

The children had fact sheets to help them identify the different points of interest and a timeline with the following dates on,

Stone Age- 4000bc-2000bc,

Bronze Age-2000bc – 700BC

Iron Age- 1200BC - 600BC
