Geography
Geography at Goddard Park is taught across the school in units which provide our children with local, national and global knowledge and skills. As children progress from the Early Years to KS1 and KS2 they will learn what it is like to be citizens in other countries, how physical geography influences the life of people who live in different places and how human geography changes places and the way we live.
As well as knowledge of world geography, our children will also learn mapping and field work skills through specific planned activities within each year group. These will take them into the school grounds and beyond into the local community.
Our link school in Desai, Kenya also provides further focus for learning about the lives of others in contrasting parts of the world.
